Winter trends have never been so diverse. Thanks to the recession people are experimenting more with their style and its fantastic to see new creative looks everywhere!

My favourite trend for Winter 2011 has to be the Horse-Riding style boot. Its so chic and classic!
The great thing about this trend is that it can be worn on so many levels.
You can jump right in with this typical style from Zara...

..or if you want to stay slightly more conservative there is slightly less adventurous variations all over the high street such as this pair from Topshop.

The other trend that I am really excited about this year is leather!
Not only does it look incredibly sexy but it also keeps you warm! Win win for winter!
Leather pants such as the ones worn below by Kate Moss look great paired with a chunky knit or baggy blazer.

A fitted leather jacket is great to add that cool biker chic look to your outfit, and can also be great to wear over dresses going out!

Im loving socks with everything! Knee high woolies for wrapping up and cool ankle socks for heading out.
Knee highs look great with skirts to add a cheeky vibe to your outfit. Worn with boots they're not only super warm but add something extra to your average look.

black H&M socks - black Jessica Simpson shoes - white H&M dress - black Zara bla

Lacy and mesh socks like these are great to wear with shoes for going out to spice up an old dress!

For the Winter party season, mesh effect dresses and polka dot mesh is everywhere.
This dress from Stella Mcartney inspired this trend.

Similar dresses can be found all over the high street, such as these ones from Topshop...

They can also be found in a range of popping colours!

My final must have trend this winter is FUR!! I have yet to find the perfect fur jacket, but that is more due to financial constraints rather than lack of choice!
W heather you want to keep the fur to a minimal and go for fur lined coats or fur collars, or even a furry hat! Or go all out with a fab fur coat, there is a plethra of choice.
I myself am a fan of the classic fur coat, as it can be toned down with denims and a pair of UGGs until you need to dress it up with a little black dress and a deep red lip for a special night out.
Below are some of my favorites.

...Happy Winter! :)

Why I love Fashion

I love Fashion because it allows people to express their individuality in a way that nothing else does. I am always on the lookout for new ideas that I can infuse into my own style. I get a lot of inspiration from my fashion role models, which include people like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Coco Chanel.
Coco Chanel became my earliest fashion role model, mostly because of her individuality and structured style. Her influence is still very prominent in fashion today. It was Chanel who saw past the corset and replaced it with comfortable but feminine clothing. She showed that women could wear pants and still look good! Her first designer item to be publicly known for was her little black dress.

She designed this dress using a jersey fabric which was, for its time, stunning. She used pearls, jewels, and lace to turn an ordinary item of clothing into an extraordinary piece of art.

Every designers dream is to create something so stylish it transcends fashion and becomes a classic. The Chanel suit is a fashion icon that continued to live on long after she died. Karl Lagerfeld has reinvented this suit many times and it is still one of the ultimate fashion pieces.

She has truly shaped fashion to what it is today.
